Several years ago I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia, a condition that causes unpredictable, painful attacks which affected nearly every aspect of my life. Before I was diagnosed and treated my longest attack lasted nearly three excruciating hours. My pain was centralized in the mandibular nerve, affecting my lower cheek, lower lip and jaw. Once I began treatment with a regiment of medications, primarily carbamazepine (Tegretol) and Neurotin my attacks were reduced from hours to seconds/ minutes of short bursts of sharp, stabbing, electric-shocks. Of course, I might have up to 50 or 60 of these shocks per day.

The attacks occurred while attempting to eat, talk and sleep. It seems anything from lightly touching my cheek, a gentle breeze, moving my tongue, and/or attempting to brush my teeth would trigger an attack. I soon became very anxious over every breath I took, fearful I would have an attack in front of someone who would not understand what was going on. After a while I was taking twenty-one pills a day which also included an antidepressant to deal with the anxiety over my condition.

During this time, I searched out numerous specialists; neurologists, brain surgeons, and acupuncturist to help me control my pain symptoms. I became desperate to find a way out of this situation so I could get my life back without all the drugs. As I was considering more evasive procedures to stop the attacks, my daughter encouraged me to see Dr. Frazar.

Although I had heard wonderful things about Dr. Frazar, I failed to see how a dentist could resolve my issues. However, listening to my daughter was the best decision I have ever made. (I believe I failed to mention I also suffered with TMJ symptoms).

Dr. Frazar and her professional team were absolutely amazing! Not only have I been 100 percent pain free during the last year of my dental treatment, but I significantly reduced and stopped the majority of my medication. I’ve gone from requiring twenty one (21) pills a day to taking only six. (6) and continue to decrease my medication under supervision of my doctor.

Upon meeting Dr. Frazar I was so impressed with her skills and positive attitude that she could help me. Upon discovering how badly my mouth was out of alignment, Dr. Frazar set a course to correct my bite. My treatment took awhile, but amazing enough it was never painful due to the methods utilized by Dr. Frazar. Gradually, my pain symptoms disappeared and I was able to regain control over my life. As if that wasn’t enough to make one count their blessings, I have the added bonus of a beautiful smile! I never used to smile and now I can’t stop!

Of course, I can’t end this without saying thank you to Dr. Frazar’s team; Jessica, Sabrina, Erin, Jennifer and of course, all the wonderful ladies on the front desk. You aren’t a patient in the office before you feel like family. In most offices, it’s rare for patients to look forward to their next dental visit, but that’s not the case when your visit is scheduled with Dr. Kathy Frazar!

Dr. Frazar and staff are very professional and caring toward their patients needs. The staff makeyou feel part of their team and not a patient. It is an experience that every person in need of dental care should see and feel.

So far my experience with your services have been outstanding. Since I am spending a lot of money to get my teeth fixed they way I have always wanted to, I shopped around to find the best dentist. Dr. Frazar's staff makes a great impression and knows their stuff, especially Jessica. And Dr. Frazar's fantastic. I can't believe I never went to a female dentist before! It's a totally different (better) experience.

Well as you know, my dad is a pretty eccentric character who has mistrust of all doctors/dentist but Dr. Frazar and her team handled it well. Dr. Frazar and her team answered any and all of his questions has putting me on the path to better dental treatment.

Well, I liked the Jessica. I appreciated the free flavored water, and the support your office gave me. Especially in offering to help convince my dad what I need. I’m only worried about the cost, but I’ll talk to you about that later. All in all, I’m glad I finally find out what I really need, for what’s best for my teeth.

Jessica is the absolute best, she greets me with a smile every time that I walk in the door. Also, lets not forget Erin, that girl makes the greatest temporary crowns in town, those bad boys wouldn’t fall off under any circumstances. You ladies are the greatest, I would not trust my teeth to anyone else, Kathy has the best team of all, you always treat me like family and it is always a lot of fun every time that I come to visit. Thanks so much for everything.

I am soooooooooooooo happy with the new SMILE!!! Thanks so much for hanging in there and getting it done. My teeth look better than they have just about ever. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth- Well I got mine for my b-day and they are spectacular to say the least. The work that you did was artistic, and you are now in the Furler Doctor Hall of Fame for outstanding work. I also need to thank Jessica for all that she does to make life a little easier to live, without her the world would be a dark gloomy place. Oh and I almost forgot Sabrina, Thanks for the fantastic cleaning. You made my two “new” front teeth look even better since the rest of the teeth had the same SHINE as the fronts. Thank you all so much for making my smile SMILE!!! See you guys soon!
